Position Summary:
Acuren is currently recruiting for UT Trainees to support projects in the Fort McMurray area. If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.
**Position Information**:
- Call Out/Project based
- ** Project starting March 14th and March 28th - 2 positions available**:
- Duration is long-term with potential to expand to other projects after
- Travel required to various work site locations throughout Fort McMurray
- Accommodations and travel provided
**Maintenance**
- Project based - 14/14 maintenance rotation at 11.5hrs/day
- Approx. 80 hours per week
**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in training sessions to acquire knowledge of ultrasonic testing principles, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Assist experienced UT Technicians in setting up and calibrating ultrasonic testing equipment.
- Learn to conduct ultrasonic inspections on materials, welds, and structures under supervision.
- Collaborate with the inspection team to assess and address testing requirements.
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols during all training and testing activities.
- Shadow experienced technicians to interpret and evaluate ultrasonic test results.
- Support in the generation of detailed reports documenting inspection findings.
- Maintain and assist in troubleshooting ultrasonic testing equipment.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in UT or related field
- ** Completion of UT Foundations course**:
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
