**Job Description**:
**AECOM **is currently seeking an Entry Level **Mechanical Engineer/EIT **to join our growing Buildings + Places team. The Buildings + Places team is a vibrant and growing business line which delivers architectural, engineering and project management services for construction projects. Project assignments typically include maintenance/transit, municipal, and federal facilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Builds analytic and design skills through the assigned tasks and projects.
- Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems, including such tools as Carrier HAP.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Seeks guidance from experienced engineers when unsure of the next steps.
- Continually develops new skills and abilities as they relate to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Controls.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in Mechanical Engineering

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Registered as EIT with PEO
- 2+ years’ experience in Building Mechanical design and construction.
- A working knowledge with Revit/AutoCAD/MicroStation an asset.
- Experience with transit/municipal/federal infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrates superior English communication skills both oral and written.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients Diversity, Inclusion, and Accommodations.
- Technical writing capabilities are an important asset
- Ability to support site investigations as required and assigned
