**Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician**
The Quality Assurance Technician reports directly to the Quality Assurance Lead/Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the product meets the company's objectives for purity, quality and security. The Quality Assurance Technician must meet external and internal regulatory requirements including legal compliance and customer expectations. Will be primarily responsible for the monitoring and quality control of cannabis production.
The role will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Production Practices (GPP)

**Responsibilities**:
- Review, maintain and new or revised Standard Operating Procedures and batch production records for site facility
- Preparation of batch reports to ensure Cannabis is produced as per GPP/GMP (Good Production Practices/Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Equipment verification and calibration
- Communicate with other managers for process improvements and alignments of quality concepts
- Ensures that all processing activities are carried out as per Standard Operating Procedures to produce consistent quality cannabis products
- Ensures all technical documents in use are current and all master documents such as policy documents and Standard Operating Procedures are controlled and secured in accordance with GMP
- Establish and maintain record keeping systems and ensure employee adherence to proper documentation practices
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing compliance of manufacturing and production process with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards/requirements for distribution
- Review incoming materials, In process batch records and sampling.
- Document & report deviations and complaints.
- Oversee premises, hygiene of personnel, equipment cleanliness and maintenance
- Implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of products
- Assure compliance to in-house and external specifications and standards
- Actively participate in external audits such as regulatory inspections
- Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
- Assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulations
- Communicate effectively to all levels of management
Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary diploma
- Previous work experience within the Cannabis industry is considered as an asset
- Experience operating in a fast pace organizational environment
**Working Conditions**:
- Repetitive work
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
- Use of required personal protective equipment
**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
