The Opportunity:

- Reporting to the Executive Director, the Screener provides a welcoming, informative, and respectful presence at site entrance ensuring that safety and infection prevention & control protocols are followed. Greets and engages with all individuals accessing the site such as visitors, employees, deliveries and contractors.
- The Screener supports the safety of residents and their families, and staff, by communicating information about visitor limits in a thoughtful and informative manner.
- Responsibilities:

-Creates a welcoming presence for staff and visitors, and using a customer service approach communicates courteously and effectively with individuals presenting at site entrance.
Screens each individual accessing the site by following established and documented processes such as administering symptom screening questionnaires and supervising rapid testing where required; and following established infection prevention and control guidelines.
Cultivates a safe and informed environment for individuals with essential access to the site, by reinforcing and emphasizing established infection prevention protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage and criteria, and proper hand hygiene techniques.
Reports safety and security incidents to supervisor and other site personnel as required. Adheres to violence prevention and cultural safety training guidelines.
Ensures that visitors are following safe physical distancing measures in accordance with established guidelines, such as maintaining physical distancing at entrance line-ups and monitoring elevators and assisting with loading/unloading.
Attends site safety meetings and follows current direction and criteria for usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintains a clean workspace by following established cleaning procedures including wiping down workstations and hand sanitizer stations.
Sorts and files forms and documents as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
High attention to detail, and organizational skills
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
