**Job Description**:

- Initiate control of work site from Legal Survey and maintain survey points for accuracy
- Calculate coordinates from drawings and specifications
- Perform preliminary, construct and update as-built drawings
- Work together with project managers and site superintendent to complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configuring survey instruments
- Generate RFI’s and coordinate with Foreman/Superintendent for results from Architects and Engineering consultants to mitigate mistakes in the field
- Coordinate with General Contractor and other Sub Trades to ensure accuracy of their installs
- Review and update all drawings that relate to the survey for completeness, consistency and feasibility of layout to ensure that all dimensions between corresponding drawings agree
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment
- Ensure updates to survey equipment are generated
- Ensure the safety of survey equipment
- Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff
- Provide quality control by checking for accuracy at all control points, benchmarks, grid-lines, survey marks, elevations and stakeout points. Will also monitor the site for correct elevations and locations.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems
- Overtime hours will be expected with this position ie: early start for layout for Vertical Day, Table Day etc.
- All other duties as required

Summary of requirements:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction layout.
- Comprehensive understanding of robotic total stations and Auto-CAD
- Construction and carpentry background are considered an asset
- Excellent communication abilities in English
- Reliable, team player and strong attention to detail
- Valid class 5 drivers licence.

**Salary**: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
