About your team

The Outbound Correspondence Team has been set up as an early adoptor of the new cross functional team model being explored within Fidelity. Bringing together all the necessary skills and disciplines from propositions, technology and operations, the team has set out to form a new strategic roadmap building a new approach to how the UK Workplace and Personal Financial Health (WPFH) business manages outbound correspondence. The team will maintain responsibility for the underlying mechanisms, tools and technologies to produce correspondence, whilst working with the associated business channels and downstream operational functions to support a best in class service model.

About your role

The Communications Coordinator role is key in enabling the Outbound Correspondance team to deliver great quality communications through analysis and definition of requirements; prioritisation and adherence to the change and governance frameworks. Working alongside project and BAU teams to co-ordinate and lead change through to a successful conclusion, the role will involve collaborating with stakeholders at all levels across the business to achieve the best outcomes for our customers.

As this is a new role within Fidelity and in a culture where continual improvements are encouraged, responsibilities and the design of the framework in which the role operates will evolve, giving the role holder the opportunity to help shape the role so that it fits with changing business needs.

You will be responsible for
- Establishing and ensuring adherence to the new communications governance framework, embedding good practice and robust review processes to ensure our communications stay relevant and are of a high standard.
- Managing and coordinating requests/incidents into the team and acting as the interface to liaise with the wider business and operational areas.
- Facilitating the approval and sign-off activity for communications, assuring stakeholders are consulted, informed and prepared.
- Translating business requests into workable requirements for communication change activity. Producing and maintaining design documentation and technical specifications.
- Carrying out analysis (risk, effort, cost, complexity and dependencies) on change requests, project requirements or other initiatives to identify and prioritise solutions for Outbound Comms, understanding both technical and operational impacts.
- Engaging and advising key stakeholders on business projects/initiatives, to ensure the customer is at the heart of all decision making and any new or existing communications are positively impacted. Liaising and maintaining a positive relationship with third parties, project resources and business stakeholders.
- Championing the principles of the team around customer focus, simplicity, efficiency and ownership and helping promote these in interactions across the organistaion.
- Measuring, monitoring and reporting on progress against deliverables to help support a culture of continuous improvement.

About you

To succeed in this role you will have
- Experience of working within a financial services or similar regulated environment - pension industry experience and customer communications processes is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills
- an ability to quickly take a full brief from the client team, qualify key dates and deliverables and translate the requirements into a specification for internal and external colleagues.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and be able to manage multiple document change projects end to end.
- An aptituded to drive quality and excellence and make sure that communications change projects are delivered on time, compliant and on brand.
- Experience of proactively managing risk events, ensuring they are resolved effectively and remediation activities completed.
- An ability to work autonomously and also as a motivated, energetic and positive team player with a desire to succeed.
- The capability to make a positive impact and have good influencing and stakeholder management skills. Being able to make effective relationships with the teams that you work with will be very important to this role.
