We are currently seeking a **Mechanical Design Draftsperson** to develop and produce technical drawings to support our sales and operations teams. This position is based out of our Elmira location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively with other team members to design, detail and lay out components and systems
- Draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and machines
- Using Autodesk Inventor, create 2D shop drawings for fabrication and 3D site layout drawings for use on jobsites
- Check and verify design drawings to ensure they conform to specifications and design data

**What you bring to the position**:

- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferred
- Diploma in drafting, architectural technology or mechanical engineering technologist from a post-secondary institution or equivalent
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor in sheet-metal fabrication working with large assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Ability to design and detail drawings with a summary component list from detailed shop and field sketches, engineering prints or AutoCAD drawings
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with construction concepts and concrete work terminology considered an asset
