**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Delta 9 is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the organization's ongoing operations. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors and executive team, the COO will be accountable for developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the company's goals. The COO will collaborate with the Board, CEO, and Executive team to drive the organization forward, ensuring all business units work towards a common goal.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- **Strategic Leadership**: Develop and implement operational strategies in alignment with company objectives, focusing on both internal and external customer needs.
- **Operational Oversight**: Oversee all company operations, collaborating with executive teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
- **Change Management**: Drive success through effective change implementation and engagement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- **Financial Management**: Manage financial resources, including developing and implementing annual budgets, achieving sales targets, and optimizing operational plans.
- **Performance Metrics**: Develop and adjust key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational goals and monitor progress towards targets.
- **Process Improvement**: Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- **Revenue Generation**: Identify and pursue opportunities to increase top-line revenue while reducing operational expenses.
- **Strategic Analysis**: Utilize analytical thinking to analyze business and inventory data, informing key decisions and driving new revenue opportunities.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer or equivalent leadership role.
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration, or relevant field; Master's degree (MSc/MBA) is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a federal security clearance under the ACMPR is a requirement.
- Comprehensive understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Supply chain.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices.
- Experience in a regulated environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of Retail or Manufacturing is an asset.
- Outstanding leadership abilities, with a track record of driving success.
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
