At IDMYS we provide all-inclusive care in a residential setting to one of the most vulnerable populations; at-risk youth. All-inclusive care includes things such as cooking, cleaning, driving to and from appointments, offering emotional and behavioural support, and more We offer care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and have a variety of shifts available, including live-in shifts and hourly shifts.

**About the Job**

This agency provides residential services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This position includes schedules made up of night shifts and a potential to work on holidays and weekends. Hours are 11:30pm-7:30am. We currently have part-time positions in a variety of locations in Greater Victoria.

This position is open to all applicants over the age of 19.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Sleeps through the night hours but is required to wake in order to attend to unusual night-time needs that arise with the persons served.
- Supports persons served with their morning and evening routine such as washing, brushing teeth, combing hair and assisting the person served in the preparation of their breakfast.
- Administers medication to persons served in accordance with established policy.
- Responds to emergencies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Completes related records such as logbooks, charts, and incident reports.
- Secures the building by arming alarms and locking doors and windows.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Compensation and hours**

Compensation starts at $18.98 per hour to start and requires union membership.
Benefits as per collective agreement.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Three months recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Must be at least 19 years old
- Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19

**Working Conditions**

This position requires the ability to work with challenging persons served with a wide range of behaviors and needs and may require the employee to both sit or stand for long periods of time. This position involves working with persons served experiencing extreme mental health and behaviour concerns - physical interventions may be required as needed.
