We are looking for a Manager to help build out our Canadian human capital practice while solving the complex human capital problems the North American middle market faces throughout the entire employee lifecycle and focusing on HR transformation and workforce optimization. You will help our clients assess and optimize the effectiveness of their human resources functions and create return on their human capital investment. This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary or Edmonton.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate the ability to instill, grow, and maintain ongoing confidence with clients to ensure relationships are managed for the long term.
- Develop and grow a network of business connections inside and outside the firm to support and encourage practice and firm strategic objectives
- Demonstrate the characteristics of a trusted advisor to internal and external clients and provide direction for the support of larger business objectives, the ability to see how high value delivery on small engagements leads to large opportunities.
- Drive, lead and participate in the development of proposals and business development activities
- Assist in developing new market relevant tools, methodologies, products and deliverables for the rapidly changing human resources industry
- Lead and participate in the design and execution of projects to help optimize all elements of the organization including HR transformation, HR outsourcing, HRIS implementation, organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and talent attraction and retention
- Coach, lead and develop other members of the team in project activities as well as their general career growth and development
- Lead and oversee engagements and project financials
- Continuously learn to better understand RSM's array of services, with the intent to enhance value to our clients
- Effectively document and communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- Provide thought leadership through presentations or writing such as blogs or RSM content either individually or jointly with other RSM team members
- Network internally and externally to develop sales opportunities
- Manage multiple projects and project teams to deliver exceptional client experience

**Qualifications**:

- 7+ years of related experience
- Previous human capital consulting experience from a professional services or CPA firm
- Understanding of the HR function and capabilities including processes, technology, operating model design, strategic competencies, and policies in both Canada and the US
- Experience in leading complex HR consulting engagements
- Functional understanding of HRIS systems
- Experience in growing and developing a human capital service offering
- Ability to support the brand promise, shared values, and characteristics of RSM
- A deep understanding of the contemporary trends impacting human resources and the future of work
- Ability to develop business and sell services from across diverse firm offerings to support our clients with the full strength of the firm
- Ability to lead, train and develop team members from consultant through to manager on the firm approach to Human Capital Consulting and how to drive results from a team
- Exceptional executive presence and professionalism
- Ability to travel up to 50% throughout North America
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development and Leadership, Management, or Finance (or related) from an accredited university
