Instructional Librarian
Full-time, Continuing

Reporting to the Manager Library Services, the Instructional Librarian teaches information literacy, and
provides reference services. As a member of the library team, they are part of the daily library operations.
They manage the Springshare products, work with the electronic resources, and assist with collection
management. The library works closely with the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), as this position
includes LMS support. Additionally, they work in collaboration with the Academic and Research Office in
areas of copyright procedure, OER and OA support.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and provide information literacy sessions and library orientations
- Provide reference assistance to students and faculty to support student success
- Participate in collection development and ongoing weeding projects
- Use LMS to support faculty and other users of the campus Moodle
- Work within Canadian Copyright laws and assist with King’s copyright
- Lead and provide assistance with OER and OA initiatives

**QUALIFICATIONS
- Master of Library & Information Sciences or equivalent from an ALA accredited institution
- Teaching experience both in person and online
- Experience in developing information literacy programming
- Knowledge of data and statistical tracking (reference stats, head counts, and instructional classes)
- Knowledge of library programs and software, procedures, and policies
- Familiarity with NEOS consortium
- Knowledge of LSPs
- Professing Christian able to sign King’s Statement of Faith.

The King’s University follows a standardized salary grid. The salary range for the position is $58,000
- $72,000/yr dependent on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefit package, pension, and
generous vacation and time off are provided.
