**Dalmeny Daycare Inc is hiring a part time Early Childhood Educator.**
- **This role is for 4 hrs daily from 10-2pm**_. To cover in the classroom for planning/prep time and break coverage for the full time staff. The applicant must have a minimum of a LEVEL 1 to be eligible as your hours will go over the 64 hrs/mth minimum allowed with out ECE education.

**Early childhood educators perform some or all of the following duties**:

- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- Support children in the development of their self-help skills and independence
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- Plan and organize activities for children in the daycare
- May supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Will assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records

**To be successful to work at Dalmeny Daycare you need**:

- A passion for working with children
- Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification
- 1 - 3 years experience working in the childcare field
- Strong interpersonal skills to gain trust and respect of children and their parents
- Demonstrate skills working as a team and enjoy a team environment
- The ability to maintain confidentiality always
- Experience in planning and implementing programs
- Food Handling Certificate would be an asset
- A current Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector screening
- Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
- MUST BE PRESENTLY LIVING IN SASKATOON & AREA AT TIME OF HIRING

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $13.75-$17.50 per hour
