Handyman/woman

Kaneff Group is excited to be adding a **Handyman/ Maintenance Person **to our Residential team

**Reporting Relationship**:
This role reports directly to the Senior Property & Capital Projects Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver materials to various Buildings;
- Purchase and install registers, access panels and bathroom fixtures;
- Clean and repair windows, window screens;
- Caulk/fill holes;
- Drywall, taping/mudding, painting, flooring installation (including vinyl, parquet, hardwood, and ceramic, etc.);
- Install baseboard, doors and casing;
- Create MDF access panels for electrical panels and/or water meter access;
- Regular inspection of Buildings mechanical rooms and weekly inspection of the roofs;
- Repairs -building mechanical systems, minor electrical, plumbing and aesthetic features (painting, carpentry, fixtures, etc.);
- Repairs to bathrooms and kitchens, including showers and tiles;
- Installation and repair of cabinetry such as shelves and counters, countertops, sealants, and miscellaneous features;
- Installation and door repairs, including locks;
- Installation and maintenance of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors;
- Purchase all required electrical and plumbing supplies as required and approved by manager;
- Report problems to the appropriate staff members immediately;
- Always Speak with Staff and Tenants in a respectful and professional manner; and
- Prepare turnover suites to new tenants, complete for move-in readiness;
- emergency repairs as required
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed and required from time to time by the Employer;

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5 years of demonstrated Handyman experience;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills;
- Yardi (Preferred, but not a requirement);
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Valid G Class drivers license.
