In addition to providing helicopter services Wisk-Air is an Approved Maintenance Organization holding ratings for Aircraft, Avionics, Components, Instruments and Structures. In 2023 Wisk Air opened its Avionics Shop and began to offer their capabilities to operators in Northwestern Ontario. After seeing the success of the Avionics Shop Wisk Air is now looking to grow their AMO and begin offering additional services such as Structures and Component Overhaul.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management System Oversight: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System aligned with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

2. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement across all operational facets, including maintenance, flight operations, and safety protocols. Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality of services. Including development, amending and upkeep of Policy and Procedures Manuals

3. Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Develop action plans to address any identified deficiencies or areas of non-compliance.

4. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to personnel on quality-related procedures, standards, and processes. Ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining quality standards.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality metrics, performance indicators, and customer feedback. Generate comprehensive reports to track trends, identify root causes of issues, and drive informed decision-making.

6. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to evaluate and monitor the quality of products and services provided by external vendors and suppliers. Establish criteria for supplier selection and performance evaluation.

7. Continuous Improvement Culture: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, soliciting suggestions for process enhancements, and recognizing achievements in quality performance.

8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices pertaining to aviation safety and quality management. Ensure that the organization remains compliant with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience (5+ years) in a quality assurance or quality management role within the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, quality management principles and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive process improvement initiatives, and implement quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Tracking System RAAS considered an asset
- Experience in multiple aviation departments such as Parts, Tech Records and Operations considered an asset.
