**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Abrasive Coating Blasting**:
- Perform abrasive blasting operations on surfaces, such as pipelines, tanks, and equipment, using appropriate abrasive media and equipment.
- Prepare surfaces by removing rust, old coatings, and contaminants to ensure proper adhesion of new coatings.
- Follow established blasting procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
**Equipment Setup and Maintenance**:
- Set up and inspect blasting equipment, including hoses, nozzles, and air compressors, to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or defects to the supervisor for timely repair or replacement.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and industry best practices while performing blasting operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Complete all required safety training and possess necessary certifications, including CSO (Construction Safety Officer), H2S, and first aid.
**Certifications and Documentation**:
- Possess and maintain required certifications, including **CSO, H2S, and first aid**, as necessary for the job.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including blasting activities, materials used, and safety inspections.
**Job Site Logistics**:
- Work 12-hour shifts, adhering to the assigned schedule.
- Travel to job sites using a crew truck, ensuring punctuality and readiness for the day's work.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding crew truck usage and maintenance.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Minimum of one year of experience as an abrasive coating blaster in the oil and gas industry.
- Valid CSO (Construction Safety Officer) certification.
- Valid H2S certification.
- Valid first aid certification.
- Additional certifications in fall protection, confined space, and aerial work platform are assets.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and travel to job sites using a crew truck.
- Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards related to abrasive coating blasting.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
