**Purpose of the position**:
As one of our Cylinder Processors, you will process and fill gas orders in a safe and efficient manner for timely delivery to our customers. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment with a minimum of supervision and must maintain a positive working relationship with customers and employees. You will:
**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Quarantine non-conformance cylinders, open/close valves on cylinders and filling racks, and operate high-pressure pumps and vacuum pumps.
- Keep Kanban at optimal stock levels by bringing empty cylinders back inside the plant, processing them and segregating them based on valve and cylinder type.
- Connect cylinders to manifolds to fill cylinders with high pressure gas or to process them, including venting, purging and vacuuming cylinders.
- Perform inventory control for valves, bottles, hoses, fittings and other integral spare parts in order to maintain appropriate plant stock levels.
- Perform cylinder maintenance tasks including external and internal inspection of cylinders, internal cleaning of cylinders, and valving and de-valving cylinders using torque wrenches and valving machine.
- Adhere to the due dates on production orders in order to prepare cylinders on time for other employees, or to fill and prepare cylinders for shipping on time.
- Report to management all safety or production related issues.
- Work closely with other employees to provide a good flow of work to meet our productivity goals.
- Recommend new procedures and ideas to help improve our processes.
- Maintain a safe working environment, follow all company procedures and adhere to Company’s HSEQ program.
- Bring to management’s attention any safety issues and production issues that may potentially cause orders to go late.
- Support management on any projects or processes needing assistance or improvement.
- Work cooperatively with plant employees and with management to help meet the plant goals.
- Perform maintenance on equipment used such as compressors, pumps and manifolds in order to keep them in good working order
- Provide occasional help in shipping and receiving to load and unload cages and trailers using a forklift
- Perform other tasks as required

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent experience
- Physically fit able to lift 100 lbs
- Basic computer skills required
- Forklift experience is an asset
