As a Bookkeeper at our company, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the financial health of our clients.
**Job Description**:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, managing multiple client files and providing them with essential financial insights. Your role will involve:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
2. Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and organization.
3. Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide clients with insights into their financial performance.
6. Tax Preparation Support: Assist clients in organizing their financial documents for tax purposes and collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
7. Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding their financial records, addressing inquiries and providing financial insights.
8. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and standards to ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree, certificate, or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client files efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Problem Solving Skills: The ability to problem solve and to work independently is required
