Pharmacy Assistant

**EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
**Position**:PHARMACY ASSISTANT**
**Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre**
**Status: Casual
**Position Summary**: Under the general supervision of a pharmacist, performs various medication
preparations and moderately complex clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures.

**Reporting to**:Pharmacist

**Qualifications**:

- Grade XII (12) or equivalent required.
- Graduate of recognized pharmacy assistant program and/or Recent Retail or hospital

pharmacy experience acceptable to the employer considered an asset.
- Connect Care experience an asset.
- Recent Knowledge of various office equipment, unit dose packaging equipment, and

pharmaceutical compounding equipment preferred.
- Word processing and pharmacy computer software preferred.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Drug Formulary preferred.
- Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, self-motivated and able to demonstrate

effective service attitude.
- Displays professionalism, tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality.
- Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.

**Hours: 7.75-hour days, called in as required for Pharmacy services**

**Salary**: As per the AUPE Multi-Employer General Support Services Collective Agreement
