Upper Canada Child Care is looking for passionate and committed child care professionals to join our Team located at Fred Varley PS and San Lorenzo Ruiz CES (Markham, ON).

We are currently recruiting for Registered Early Childhood Educators or equivalent (Child and Youth Worker or OCT Member) and Assistant Educators.

**Position Types**: Full-time (25-40 hours/week) & Casual Supply status (variable hours).

**Starting Pay**:
RECE $21.07 - $24.79/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr) and Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr).
Assistant $17.70 - $20.82/hour plus Wage Enhancement Grant ($2.00/hr) and Split Shift Premium ($2.00/hr).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (or approved equivalency) from a recognized college or university (for ECE position).
- A recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Health assessment and up-to-date record of immunization as outlined by legislation.
- Up-to-date registration with the College of ECEs (if applicable).
- Up-to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First Aid (training provided upon selection if required).
- Experience with program design and implementation, preferably play/inquiry based with the use of pedagogical documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families, caregivers and other professionals.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professional disposition.
- Have the physical and emotional stamina to supervise children in a variety of settings including outdoor public spaces.
