Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resource Team Lead will implement, maintain, and support all initiatives and operations that fall within the scope of Human Resources. This includes but is not limited to Recruitment, compliance with Provincial employment standards, Performance Management, Succession planning, Payroll, Engagement, and Health & Safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, implement and maintain all HR initiatives aligned to the overall business goals and strategies.
- Guide and coach the leadership team on all HR aspects.
- Lead Health & Safety initiatives including ensuring compliance with WorkSafe guidelines.
- Act as the first point of contact for all employees on all things HR, including payroll, benefits, policy interpretation and any employee relations issues.
- Design and implement onboarding plans: conduct employee orientation sessions, introduce company policies and procedures, and ensure new employees have access to resources to help them succeed in their roles.
- Supervise and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate processing, and timely release of payments and related reports.
- Address, investigate, record, and resolve all employee relations issues.
- Formulate and implement new policies keeping in line with provincial law where required.
- Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement to create and maintain a productive and positive work culture.
- Lead all talent acquisition activities including creating and posting jobs, screening, and participating in the interview and selection process.
- Advise leadership in areas of talent, performance, and succession planning.
- Lead performance management initiatives to measure performance, address performance issues, identify training needs and set timely goals aligned towards business goals.
- Identify training needs, devise, and implement training plans to build succession planning strategies, create career development plans and empower employees.
- Maintain assigned vendor relationships and contracts.
- Acknowledge and address employee requests for confirmation of employment and other similar service letters.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- At least 5 to 7 years of experience working in an HR capacity.
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources considered a strong asset.
- CPHR designation also considered a strong asset.
- Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems; Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is an advantage.
- Must have experience in Health & Safety, preferably from a production environment.
- Experience processing payroll.
- High proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
- Working knowledge of BC and Ontario Provincial employment standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$87,000.00 per year
