**THE ROLE**:
As a member of the _Project Team_, the **Mechanical & Piping Lead** operates under the guidance of the _Construction Manager_. This role is accountable for ensuring constructible, safe, and cost-effective mechanical and piping designs and activities during the engineering and procurement phases of the Wheeler River Project. During the construction phase, the individual in this position is responsible for the safe and efficient organization and supervision of site activities related to the mechanical and piping components of the project.
This is a **fulltime **opportunity and will initially be based out of our office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a _Monday-Friday _schedule with transition to a site based rotational role located at Wheeler River Site in Northern Saskatchewan. **OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**:
The **Mechanical & Piping Lead** possesses broad technical and supervisory experience acquired from progressively complex construction projects and brings a solid track record of delivering results with a high attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes. As an individual contributor the **Mechanical & Piping Lead** influences others to achieve results through methodical planning, supervision and execution strategies, initiative-taking and collaborative communication tactics, and a strong commitment to safe work practices that contribute to a highly effective and engaged workplace. Additional qualifications and attributes include:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant combination of education and professional experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and piping design, installation, and commissioning within the industrial or mining sectors; experience in uranium mining and processing is preferred.
- A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license, or relevant Red Seal ticket is considered advantageous.
- Prior experience in a role such as Superintendent, Supervisor, Field Engineer, or another field-based position with direct responsibility for the coordination and execution of project activities and milestones is required.
- Demonstrated familiarity with project lifecycles for large multidisciplinary capital projects including contracts & procurement, construction, commissioning, project controls, health & safety, and community & environment.
- Direct experience in the design of process piping, preparation of equipment datasheets and specifications is required, experience with pipe stress analysis is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ASME, API, MSS, ASTM, NFPA, and CSA standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing and scheduling daily tasks and longer-term activities against deadlines, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Strong organization, persuasion, and interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with co-workers, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders, successfully influencing others to execute tasks and achieve results.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to identify and evaluate alternatives and produce workable solutions, accompanied by a strong quality orientation towards standards of workmanship.
