Responsibilities for this role include:
Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards.

Payroll and Employee Records - process payroll through our 3rd party Payroll firm (Ceridian), maintain company vacation calendar, employee sick days and ensure employee records are accurate and up to date.

Office Administration - make occasional bank deposits, maintain all system upgrades in quickbooks, maintain moneris records, daily and monthly audits, Ensure business insurance is up to date and coverage is accurate, gather and process all year-end information for accountants. Implement new systmes and processes.

Payables - record invoices and statements from suppliers, process bills and payments, deposit cheques and enter into quickbooks, pay bills, manage government payments accurately and on a timely basis (GST, PST, Corporate Tax etc.) and reconcile bank accounts monthly.

Receivables: regularly monitoring accounts receivable and communicating with customers to collect any overdue accounts and ensure everything is current.

Producing monthly financial statements, Prepare and submit Monthly and quarterly reporting to Management.

General duties - open and process mail and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member.

**Requirements**:

- Good understanding of bookkeeping / accounting is required, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience preferred.
- A good knowledge of Word and Excel are required. Experience with accounting programs would be a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, self-management and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and works well independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills.
- A willingness to learn and master new software and seek ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Good general computer knowledge.

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
