**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments from customers, and assisting with various tasks. This position involves diplomatic and confidential interactions with clients, suppliers and corporations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Process all invoices in accounting systems.
- Process and post customer payments to appropriate accounts.
- Ensure appropriate invoice approval process is followed.
- Ensure general ledger account coding is accurate.
- Provide billing information and support to facilitate daily bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for filing, maintaining and updating financial spreadsheets.
- Prepare journal entries as applicable.
- Review expense reports/cheque requests and prepare for reimbursement.
- Process cheques and issue wire payments.
- Organize Credit Card statements, receipts for cardholders, and code to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Resolve and reconcile accounts payable discrepancies with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up as needed.
- Maintain and update vendor and customer master files.
- Other administrative duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of Secondary School Diploma
- Post secondary certificate and or diploma in accounting or related field preferred
- Minimum three years of accounts payable and receivable experience
- Experience in transportation/logistics is an asset
- Strong knowledge of clerical and accounting procedures
- Proficient and experienced in using QuickBooks
- Intermediate skills in using Microsoft suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Efficient at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
