Formwork Superintendent Role:
General:

- Coordinate, direct and lead workers engaged in construction activities.
- Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment.
- Supervise multiple crews and associated contract work to obtain top quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, and teamwork
- Recognize and communicate with Project Manager any priority issues or problems.
- Conduct on-site safety orientation and maintain daily safety reports
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Deliver the specified work within time, within budget and to the desired level of quality and workmanship.
- Day-to-day coordination of construction crews, owned equipment, rented equipment, material supply and subcontractors, including maintenance of satisfactory relationships.
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control project from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Conduct employee orientations and safety meetings
- Supervise and develop team members through regular feedback, training, and coaching.
- Responsible to enforce all project safety and quality-control reports
- Analyze specifications and construction drawings and complete/participate in completing construction plan and construction schedule prior to mobilization to project site
- Develop a detailed materials list for assigned projects as per completed scope of work and approved budget.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control.
- Ensure the quality of all work performed on site
- Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Construction Manager and/or Senior Management
- Must have strong critical thinking, coordination, time management, listening, communication, and reasoning skills. The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and to recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems. Ability to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with the public and fellow employees.

Job Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of construction disciplines, cost control, scheduling and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving ability and follow through
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
- Proficient in the English language (written and oral) with strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Highly competent with self-performed formwork and concrete
- Strong leadership and teambuilding abilities.
