This opportunity is for the **Courtenay, BC Warehouse located at 588 Crown Isle Blvd, Courtenay, BC**.

This is a partnership with Costco for an independent optometrist to work within the location as a business within a business.

**About Our Practice**

Great location in a great area State of the art equipment. Looking to build a practice in a very successful Costco. Built in retail traffic. Turn-key operation with no upfront costs for equipment. Costco handles all furnishings and maintenance of equipment.

**Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eye care emergencies
- Other eye care services as permitted under your Provincial Licensing
- A strong drive to grow your own business while working with the Optical Department

**Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications**
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid provincial license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
