Guelph, Canada Domain Logistics Full time

Under the guidance of the operations manager, the operations supervisor is responsible for monitoring work schedules, balancing work loads, and keeping track of hours worked & overtime. Additionally, they will participate in training new workers, listening & resolving operational and safety concerns, and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure business objectives are met. They will serve as a company representative on regulatory issues and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws.

**SCOPE**
- Keeps Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary; or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to boosting employee morale and productivity.
- Supports the development of individuals for future advancement.
- Prepares analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities; including ensuring KPI’s are met.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with all legal regulations.
- Communicates customer issues with operations team and devises ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
- May be required to communicate operating policies and/conduct Health & Safety meetings.
- Works closely and collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer requirements are met, shipments are accurate and complete, the right equipment is used and maintained.
- Oversees the proper handling of product.
- Notifies maintenance regarding facility and equipment repairs.
- Communicates with H&S Committee and department heads to ensure all processes remain compliant with OHSA and other governmental regulations.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- Degree in business management or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse/distribution centre environment.

**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**
- Support & demonstrate Domain Logistics principles, values, and vision.
- Communication - Ability to communicate effectively interdepartmentally, and externally with Labour Providers, vendors, carriers etc.
- Customer Service - Ability to respond effectively and in a timely manner to departmental needs, focusing on customer service.
- Previous Experience -Strong working knowledge of warehousing, retail distribution, and quality control.
- Leadership - Job requires a willingness to lead, coach, make decisions, offer opinions, and take direction.
- Cooperation - Job requires displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
- Analytical Thinking - Job requires analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues, critical-thinking, and problem-solving.
- Operating various MHE as required.

Afternoons | Monday - Friday, 4 pm - Midnight
