Janitor

**Summary Statement**:
Janitor hours - 4 hours per day.

General Labour Duties - 4 hours per day.

The Janitor is solely responsible for all general housekeeping throughout the Plant, as well as, minor Plant maintenance and regular inspection reports on all Company tow motors.

**Job Duties**:
Empties garbage drums throughout Plant, including Shipping, Upholstery and Assembly. Disposes of cardboard, unused skids and other junk materials.

Conducts general clean up of all Plant washrooms each morning, ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked and all floors are clean.

Conducts full inspection of all tow motors, following documented checklist, to ensure safe operation. Vacuums offices of supervisor and the shop meeting office weekly.

Washes floors and performs other cleaning duties in the main lunchroom.

WINTER: shovels and/or salts front sidewalk and at all door entrances to the building as required.

SPRING: Cleans up debris from around property, including grass at front of building

Performs miscellaneous duties in Assembly area if time permits. Maintains clean and safe work area.

**Qualifications**:
Proven ability to read and understand English fluently

Able to use small tools accurately and efficiently

Capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 40 lbs. without difficulty

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

**Mandatory**:
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education

Forklift certificate required (Electric and Propane)

Pay: $17.90-$18.90 per hour
