JOB OVERVIEW

Superior Radiant Products Ltd is a leading company dedicated to innovation and excellence in the field of radiant heating solutions. With a rich history of providing cutting-edge products to our clients, we are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator/Programmer to join our Fabrication team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless programming, operation, and maintenance of CNC laser equipment, contributing significantly to our commitment to quality and precision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program and operate CNC laser cutting machines and other machinery used in the production process.
- Create and edit laser cut files from CAD drawings in various formats, prepare, layout, and array parts from the cut files in laser software for optimal engraving and cutting speeds and yields.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or programming to minimize downtime.
- Select and set up lenses and nozzles based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters, and configure fixtures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Establish proper stop locations and adjust the laser beam's focal point.
- Manage and maintain files to always ensure matching revision levels.
- Monitor the fill level of the chiller system and process gases, reporting reordering requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections to maintain product quality.
- Identify machine issues that may affect material integrity.
- Read work orders and tag or product as required.
- Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and perform daily maintenance in compliance with safety standards.
- Keep all work areas clean and organized.
- Work in compliance with all ISO, OHSA, and company standards, following all safety protocols.
- Assist with other Fabrication Department machine operations as needed.
- Other tasks and duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience programming and operating a CNC laser machine using metal.
- Certificate or Diploma in CNC Machining would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and material properties.
- Ability to read BOM listings and technical drawings.
- Proven measurement and mathematical skills, including using tape measures, angle gauges, and calipers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to drive forklift and certificate required.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of metal and material tolerances.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Day shift (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
- Manufacturing environment
