We currently have openings for an abatement technician/water damage specialist. We are an established and growing abatement contractor based in Abbotsford and work everywhere in the lower mainland, from the North Shore to Hope. We provide emergency restoration, abatement, demolition, and reconstruction services to the insurance industry, residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As an industry leader, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver excellent service throughout the mitigation and reconstruction process.

As an abatement/water tech worker, you will be working with a team on abatement, remediation, and restoration projects to ensure the goals and needs of our customers are being met. The Abatement Technician can implement procedures consistent with WorkSafe, health and safety, and other applicable industry standards under the direction of a Lead Hand. You will be responsible for setting up contamination and decontamination chambers for moderate to high-risk work. Responsible for the removal of asbestos or mold containing materials from ceilings, walls, floors, and other structures.

This position offers room to grow within a dynamic company, a great team to work with and an opportunity to be trained for more. The starting wage is $25hr, dependent on skill set and experience.

Looking for:

- Physically fit
- Ability to work after-hours on an on-call schedule (evenings and weekends)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Knowledgeable in the construction or restoration field is an asset
- Self-starter who works well independently or as a team
- Adaptable and calm under pressure

*A criminal record check and a driver’s abstract is a must

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
