Press Assitant Support

Caxton Mark Inc., a leading manufacturer of premium pressure-sensitive labels, has a vacancy for a Press Assistant Support. Duties will include supporting flexographic printing presses through various tasks including preparing printing inks, staging label stock and tooling, mounting/unmounting printing plates, and washing up plates/ink trays etc.

- Flexibility for shift rotations & overtime as assigned

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Examine work tickets to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, ink, color sequences, cylinders, dies and mags
- Select and mount and unmount printing plates on cylinders in machines according to specifications.
- Work with Operators unloaded printed material
- Blend, manage inventory, mix, store, and maintain inks according to types of material being printed and work order specifications
- Assist Operators in tear down of production runs. Cleaning rollers and ink pans
- Pack and label cartons, boxes, or finished products
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes
- **Other duties as assigned**

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING**
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate
- Lift truck experience an asset
- Any combination of applicable experience or training in printing processes

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS**

The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during the course of work:

- Standing while performing job duties (typically for 8-hours or more per day)
- Walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching
- Use of various material handling equipment - lift truck, hand jacks, etc.
- Vision (Near, Distance, Peripheral, Depth Perception, Colour vision acuity)
- Lifting requirements for this position: 40-50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
