**About Covenant House Vancouver**:
Since 1997, Covenant House Vancouver has provided relentless support for youth experiencing, or at-risk of experiencing, homelessness. We provide support to young people age 16 to 24 who have experienced a wide range of early life and ongoing, complex trauma; including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect. Our purpose is to serve all youth, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to help youth experiencing homelessness, and provide a safe and supportive environment for all youth in need.

**The Impact The Delivery Driver&Maintenance Worker With The Operations - Facilities Team Can Make**:
The Delivery Driver&Maintenance Worker role is an important one for the Youth we serve; you deliver food to the Seymour building which doesn’t have its own kitchen and pick up food donations from around the lower mainland. As the person responsible for the maintenance of our vehicles, your work ensures they are safe when we take Youth out to appointments, activities, and recreation.

**How You Will Contribute**:

- Delivers items between facilities as required in a safe and timely manner.
- Picks up food donations from various businesses in the lower mainland
- Maintain maintenance of vehicles
- Ensure vehicle maintenance log is up to date
- Maintains janitorial log or maintenance log where needed.
- Informs supervisor of any building maintenance required.
- Assist with set up for special events.
- Assist in stocking supplies as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist maintenance staff when required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Who We Are Looking For?**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Grade 12 diploma with 1 year experience in deliveries and custodial work preferred.
- A Provincial or other vocational or professional certificate is preferred, such as Custodial Training or Service Worker Certificate and WHIMIS
- Ability to physically lift and carry items between facilities up to 50lbs.
- Class 5 driver’s license with a clear driver’s abstract and approval by the department head.

- Good written/verbal communication skills ensuring that communication efforts meet the needs of various groups and is properly understood.
- Organized and Accountable, responds to job related commitments by meeting deadlines and being reliable.
- Provides superior service to both internal and external customers - responding to client needs and internal requests.
- Maintains positive productive working relationships.
- Works cooperatively and effectively with others to reach a common goal. Participates in active in group activities fostering a team environment.
