**Your position is responsible for providing professional and dependable service and to develop our team’s capability to deliver JEC’s key objectives to all our customers and suppliers. You will have a complete understanding of all customer/supplier requirements.**

**Your understanding of JEC’s Business Management System Manual, the associated BMS policies, processes, and their interaction is imperative. A commitment to JEC’s philosophy of Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost, Delivery & Environment is a requirement.**

**This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental business plan.**

**SUMMARY**

Sets up and operates stamping machines to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal, composite, by performing the duties below.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Stamping Presses**
- Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications
- Load coils for continuous operation
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications (Quality checks)
- Occasional support with training new hires and agency associates
- Other duties may be assigned
- **Laser Welder**
- Sets up and Operates Laser Welder to seamlessly weld blanks
- Sets up and operates stamping machines to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal, composite
- Completes critical start up checks and inspections
- Performs proper set up from product to product
- Continuously monitors process, analyzing weld parameters to ensure consistency and adjusts accordingly
- Completes regularly scheduled Ericson Test for weld integrity
- Assists in troubleshooting and regularly communicates concerns to Stamping Production Team Leaders and Stamping Technical Associates
- Operate Overhead crane and Forklift Safely to transport pre-welded and post-welded material
- Load and unload edge preparation shear cell
- Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications
- Load coils for continuous operation
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications (Quality checks)
- Occasional support with training new hires and agency associates
- Other duties may be assigned
- **Coil Receiving**
- Receives and completed specific inspections on Stamping Coils in a timely, efficient manner
- Supports Environmental and waste management priorities as needed
- Supports Press demands as required
- Work independently with mínimal supervision
- Receives coil trucks efficiently, according to JEC/Steel Supplier schedule
- Complete all quality specific inspections accurately on all coils as they arrive
- Safely operate overhead crane and Forklift to store coils and properly maintain organization of coil yards and coil racks
- Communicate regularly with JEC’s Logistics and Stamping Departments to ensure a high standard of coil quality is maintained
- Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications
- Manage recyclables and waste within the stamping department, and assist with plant wide recyclables to ensure proper disposal
- Actively involved with TPM schedule and daily floor cleaning using small walk behind sweeper and large riding sweeper
- Load coils for continuous operation
- Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications (Quality checks)
- Occasional support with training new hires and agency associates
- Other duties may be assigned
- **Wire Form**
- Assembles, installs, and aligns roller in machine according to specifications
- Load coils for continuous operation
- Starts wire bender and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
- Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications (Quality checks)
- Occasional support with training new hires and agency associates
- Other duties may be assigned

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent/relevant experience.
