Our boutique accounting firm is looking for a full-time bookkeeper/accounting technician eager to learn and grow within the organization.

The firm is seeking a self-starter, experienced, detail-oriented individual who strives to provide excellent professional service to meet the clients’ requirements to help both the firm and its clients to grow. We offer learning opportunities by serving clients in varieties of industries in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our office provides opportunities to learn and develop skills.

**Job Description**:

- Effective communication with clients to determine all accounting and bookkeeping requirements
- Bookkeeping services to various clients
- Management both physical and electronic client records
- Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Processing of payroll for clients
- Assistance with providing a monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting package
- Preparation of HST returns
- Preparation of corporate tax returns
- Planning, execution, and completion of notice to reader engagements
- Assistance with the execution of review and audit engagements
- Coordinate and discuss with external auditors and CRA as required

Qualifications:

- Full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll processing and client management experience
- Educational background in accounting, bookkeeping or business administration
- A solid understanding of accounting principles
- Aptitude for developing and maintaining good relationships with clients and team members
- Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities in a professional manner
- Ability to work on multiple assignments with a high degree of autonomy over your work
- Highly organized and able to prioritize work flow, exercise good judgment and show initiative
