We are a small family business and have been in Bloor West Village for over 24 years. We are looking for someone who is willing to be a part of our small team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and prescriptions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders and maintain accurate records of customer transactions
- Has experience or is willing to learn edging lenses.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an optician or in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of different types of lenses, frames, and contact lenses
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

**Salary**: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Paid time off

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M6S 1P9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-12-01
