**What to Expect**
**What You'll Do**
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines
- Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering teams to develop machining processes for complex components
- Program components for machines listed above using CAM software
- Maintain machine tools and equipment as needed
- Practice 5S cyclical methodology (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain) to drive continuous improvement in the lab workspace
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
**What You'll Bring**
- Red Seal certification preferred but equivalent experience will be considered
- Ability to use CAM software to program parts for machining (MasterCAM and/or hyperMILL)
- Experience working with tight tolerances in metric (microns)
- Strong understanding of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5
- Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines
- Knowledge of gear machining processes is an asset
- Forklift and crane certifications are an asset
- Ability to frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
