Laboratory Assistant

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Assist in the collection and preparation of specimens for analysis, including performing phlebotomy as required.
- Maintain accurate records of tests and results, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Prepare laboratory equipment and materials for use in tests and experiments.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests under the supervision of a qualified professional.
- Ensure that all laboratory safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory instruments and workspaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure effective communication regarding patient samples and test results.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred, with familiarity in hospital environments being a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and medical staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in tasks performed.
