**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the **Manager, Annual and Monthly Giving** will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and evaluating all components of the diverse NWAC annual giving program that includes direct marketing, monthly giving, symbolic giving and tribute gifts across a variety of channels and targeting various donor segments. They help to develop a strong pipeline for the mid-level and major gift portfolios within the Philanthropy team.

**SCOPE**

The Manager will work collaboratively with the Director of Philanthropy, the Manager will also be responsible for the integrity of the donor database in assisting the Philanthropy department to steward and nurture strong relationships with donors. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team’s tools and technology are optimized to support and improve fundraising, gift processing, donor stewardship and prospecting.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Annual Giving**

**Key activities**:

- Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy to create an annual fundraising plan for Annual Giving which increases revenue to support the strategic direction of the organization.
- Oversee the management and execution of the Annual Giving plan that encompasses a range of strategies involving e‐mail, direct mail, telephone and social media solicitations to create a growing and sustainable foundation of annual support
- Superior knowledge of data segmentation techniques to oversee the segmentation, solicitation, tracking and reporting for all direct mail, telemarketing and electronic appeals
- Manage the execution of all fundraising direct marketing initiatives including critical paths, creative briefs, copy briefs, quotations, and instructions to fulfillment houses/lettershops
- Develop and oversee budgets, progress, deadlines, goals and objectives related to the Annual Giving program. This includes revenue targets, expenses, projections and statistical reporting and analysis of annual giving campaigns and programs
- Work with Director of Philanthropy to develop and execute comprehensive action plan to cultivate and grow mid-level giving program, through the introduction of a premium engagement package and special solicitations

**Monthly Giving**

**Key activities**:

- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new monthly donors through conversion and lead generation
- Cultivate and steward a cohort of existing monthly donors and ensure revenue and donor retention KPI’s remain high
- Work with the Finance department to ensure that business rules and processes are in lace to process monthly gifts in a timely manner and recover revenue quickly when payment processing issues arise

**Database Management, Reporting and Donor Data Analysis**

**Key activities**:

- Lead management of donor database
- Develop the yearly CRM operational plan for data management and database systems and support implementation of the plan
- Ensure that all campaigns are tracked and can be reported on accurately
- Interpret data and analyze results on a regular basis
- Provide analytics and insights to build foundational understanding of donor database

**Other projects and staff support**

**Key activities**:

- Work collaboratively with Philanthropy team members and provide assistance and support as needed to accomplish departmental objectives and targets

**Education/Experience**

**Key activities**:

- University degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience managing annual fundraising program elements
- Experience with developing and implementing multi-channel fundraising campaigns

- Independent approach to learning; comfortable asking questions, identifying opportunities for learning and staying on top of the latest fundraising trends and innovative practises, approaches mistakes inquisitively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

**Internal/External Relationships**

The incumbent interacts primarily with colleagues in Philanthropy and secondarily with other departments at NWAC. Externally, there is ongoing interaction with donors, potential donors, and suppliers and third-party service providers.
