**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Evening Cleaner to join our team for a contract at a local butcher shop in Vancouver, BC. As the Evening Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the establishment. Your responsibilities will include cleaning machinery, showcases, floors, and other areas to ensure our customers have a safe and pleasant shopping experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**General Cleaning**: Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain the overall cleanliness of the butcher shop, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.

**Machine Cleaning**: Thoroughly clean and sanitize machinery used in meat processing, ensuring that all equipment is free from dirt and contaminants.

**Showcase Maintenance**: Clean and polish meat showcases to ensure products are attractively displayed and maintain high hygiene standards.

**Floor Care**: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove debris, stains, and ensure a safe, clean environment for customers and staff.

**Sanitization**: Use appropriate cleaning agents to disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs and maintain food safety standards.

**Trash Removal**: Empty and replace trash bins and dispose of waste in a hygienic manner.

**Restroom Cleaning**: Ensure that the restroom facilities are clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

**Inventory Management**: Maintain a record of cleaning supplies and report when they need to be replenished.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: A minimum of 2-3 years of commercial cleaning experience, preferably in food-related establishments.
- **Transportation**: Must have your own transportation to ensure punctuality for the Saturday evening shift.
- **Language Skills**: Proficiency in English is essential to communicate with customers and colleagues effectively.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.

**Working Conditions**:

- The job is performed in the evenings, typically on Saturdays, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
- Exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals is part of the daily routine.
- May involve working independently and managing time effectively to complete all cleaning tasks within the shift.
