We are currently seeking a seasonal EXPERIENCED **Finish Grader** **Operator** for our Municipal Business Unit**.**

Reporting to the Superintendent, The Finish Grader Operator is responsible to finish grade, sub-grade & gravel base for asphalt paving.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Able to build parabolic crown and cross fall.
- Work between new curb and gutters, utilities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of grades and interpret roadway plans and drawings.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
- Ensure company equipment is operated in a safe manner and in accordance with Carmacks Equipment maintenance practices.
- Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections to identify hazards.

**Education & Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience operating as a Finish Grader _**in an urban/municipal setting.**_
- Knowledge of City of Edmonton and surrounding areas specs.
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment.
- Knowledge of construction methods, road construction materials, heavy equipment operation and industry requirements.
- Must have strong communication skills and able to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
- Valid License with clean drivers abstract.
- Reliable transportation
