**Work Arrangement**:This role is based in one of our Corporate Offices, with occasional work-from-home flexibility.

**Position Overview**:
Analysts are an integral part of the finance team with direct support to various operational divisions and will report to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis.

The role is responsible for predicting future costs of operations based on the Flair flight schedules, the vendor agreements and price lists and the actual data accumulated and then ensuring all charges are validated.

The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the vertical assigned to them including liaison with partners inside and outside of Flair to develop accurate reporting and audit support. For clarity, the Analyst will be responsible for reviewing all contracts, creating a relationship with the vendors and departments inside Flair, developing robust analytic tools (excel), be able to properly compose raw data from outside programs, reconcile quantity and pricing and offer inciteful advise and analytics for departmental leaders.

Additionally, the **Financial Analyst **will be responsible for:

- Responsible for various period analytics and reporting.
- Perform daily monitoring and accounting for the vertical ensuring accordance with the company's policy and current accounting standards.
- Provide reliable reporting of the verticals KPI’s.
- Ensure that outside data collection systems that tie to the financial systems are properly tested and compliant with accounting and reporting needs
- Prepare back-up schedules that reconcile to assigned accounts (vendors, revenues as applicable).
- Continuously review and streamline processes to ensure tasks are executed efficiently.
- Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements.
- Assist with financial audits including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization from time to time.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or in a related area
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or actively working towards the CPA designation will benefit the incumbent in performing duties but is not a requirement.

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting or analytics experience within a medium-large organization, including a minimum of three (3) years demonstrating analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills in managing moderate to complex analysis of operations

- Strategic and innovative thinking with superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adept at encouraging entrepreneurial & innovative ideas and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
- Strong self-confidence with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills and the ability to summarize and communicate in “non-technical” terms when required
- Technological proficiency including proven use of multiple software programs is a requirement.
- Previous airline experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Requirements**:
