Overview:
We are seeking Field Heat Treatment Technician Trainees to join our company. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to learn and develop valuable skills. As a Trainee Technician, you will work closely with experienced Technicians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in all aspects of the job. This is a hourly paid position with room for growth and advancement within our company. A clean Class 5 driving abstract and successful completion of Pre-Employment drug and alcohol testing are required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Driving Pickup Trucks and Mobile equipment to work locations
- Assist experienced technicians in setting up Pre-Heat and Post Weld Heating Elements
- Learn to use dremils, grinders, TAUs, banders, crimpers and other tools and equipment
- Assist with preparing materials and operating heat treatment equipment
- Gain experience in maintaining heat treatment equipment and repair
- Participate and engage in the Health & Safety Program
- Develop mechanical knowledge through on-the-job training

Qualifications:

- Able to meet the physical demands of the position (carry, lift 50lbs or more and climb stairs, ladders) perform manual labor tasks
- Prior experience in a labour focused position is considered an asset
- High school diploma preferred
- Class 5Q or Class 3 license preferred
- Strong interest in mechanical work and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in the trade
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
- Current safety certifications are considered an asset (H2S, CSTS, Fall Arrest, Confined Space & First Aid)
- Able to travel extensively (Within Western Canada)
- Able to work variable shifts and hours

Note: This is an entry-level position that offers training and development opportunities for individuals looking to start a career as a Field Heat Treatment Technician. No prior experience is required, but any relevant experience or Safety Training courses are a plus.

**Salary**: $21.31-$50.00 per hour
