**Profile**:
Based in Ontario and founded in 2012, Synergy is a turnkey COR certified company. Focusing on the design, construction and activation of telecommunication and Utility infrastructure. Specializing in Directional drilling, Hydro vac, cable placement, design, fibre splicing and system activation.

Synergy Telecom is currently looking for a bright and energetic individual to join our fibre Optic division. No experience required, as we will provide all training necessary to become a top fibre splicer within our fibre division and a valued part of our experienced team. Must not have a fear of heights and some heavy lifting will be required.

**Training requirements**:

- Become familiar with multiple brands of splice enclosures.
- Learn how to prep new fibre cables of varied sizes.
- Learn how to complete cable mid-spans on active fibre cables.
- Become efficient in locating fibre faults.
- You will be trained on how to use an OTDR for testing and troubleshooting.
- Ladder training will be provided to access aerial splice enclosures.
- Trained on how to read and understand customer splice details.
- Learn how to complete asbuilts clearly and effectively.
- Become efficient with maintaining your splicing equipment.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Telecom experience is an asset.
- Strong computer skills are an asset.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to carry and climb a twenty-eight-foot extension ladder weighing 80 pounds.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must have the dexterity to use hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, pliers, side cutters, etc.)
- Must be able to safely lift loads of 65 lbs.
- Must have the flexibility to work night shifts as required.
- Must be well organized and be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Responsibility for the tidiness, cleanliness, and operation maintenance of the company vehicle.
