Established principally in Southern Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. We have more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants; located in areas from Hull, Quebec (serving the National Capital Region) in the east, and spread 700 kilometres to Windsor, Ontario in the west, with an emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province._

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Monitors project and pour schedules and visits job sites to perform QC testing.
- Performs ongoing CSA & ASTM testing of concrete and raw materials.
- Evaluates data, writes reports and generates graphs and charts to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Attends pre-pour meetings and calls on customers promoting value-added products, collects market and job information.
- Supervises and plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and employees.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or productions standards or procedures.
- Reviews and supervises the work of contract field technicians Concrete Testing Services
- Educates operating personnel on CSA testing procedures and product quality
- Advises management on issues arising from product problems identified through technical support calls with customers.
- Responsible for investigation of complaints, identifies possible causes, conducts further testing, proposes resolution and works with sales to resolve customer complaints.
- Conducts QC audits and makes ongoing improvements to the Quality System, including BNQ.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Two year civil, construction or geotechnical technician/engineering program
- 2+ years of related experience, with experience testing concrete an asset
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer software (Windows, Word, Excel).
- Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- ** Ability to lift 50lbs and work outdoors in inclement weather.**:
