Role and Responsibilities:

- Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule and selections.
- Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.
- Work with the Project Manager to schedule, forecast, and manage field personnel.
- Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, client selections and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation.
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
- Manage the overall project and 5 week look ahead schedules, including creating master schedule and updating it on a weekly basis.
- Generate RFI's (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of project documents and identify and clarify any discrepancies.
- Use management software to perform completeness checks on work done.
- Review submittals and complete quality control inspections throughout various stages of build for compliance with project specifications and plans, manufacturer's recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system.
- Manage the company’s quality control program for the project with the project team.
- Conduct preconstruction planning.
- Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel.
- Work with the project team and project management software system to maintain relationships with owners, visitors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide feedback on processes and procedures, as the company truly believes in continuous development.
- Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site including signing off on work to complete the contractor billing process.

Qualifations:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is an asset but not a must.
- 3+ years of proven leadership or supervisory construction role.
- 7+ years of construction experience.
- Basic computer skills with experience with construction project management software is preferred.
- Current Alberta driver's license.
- Insurable driving record.
