**Position Requirements**:

- Diploma in or enrolled in related field, or designated officer in field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.
- An equivalent experience and education may be considered.
- Must have knowledge of GIS software such as Qgis, ArcGIS, SWWM, Syncro, EMME, or WaterCad.
- Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of related procedures and regulations.
- Ability to establish procedures and exercise strong organizational concepts.
- Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Municipal Government Act and position related legislation is necessary.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Team orientated with an open communication style.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to successfully manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to maintain, develop and enhance the Towns Asset Management and GIS program(s).
- Responsible in supporting a wide range of analyses, asset management maintenance and geographical representation of spatial relationships.
- Manage the comprehensive asset management software across all departments.
- Research and compile existing data records from various departments, including GIS systems, excel spreadsheets and other sources.
- Compiles, creates, edits, and manages GIS and related datasets such as GPS, as-built, legal drawings, and land surveys.
- Assist in the preparation of various reports for asset management maintenance operations.
- The preparation of GIS mapping, graphics, and drawings to support department and Town wide projects.
- Assist in the maintenance of CADD information related to water, wastewater, storm, sewer, sidewalk, curb gutters and roadways.
- Assist and train department staff on asset management processes and their role in collecting and using data.
- Use and management of the Town’s GPS data collection system.
- Assist in the development and updating of asset management related policies, plans and procedures while ensuring accuracy and completeness of asset listings.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to Management to continually evolve the role and improve the program.
- Performs other related and assigned tasks as required.

**Salary**: $31.39-$35.54 per hour
