Court Services Branch's mission is to ensure protection and access to court administration with integrity and compassion, while respectfully working together as an engaged team towards the common goal of service excellence.

The Bilingual Registry Technician provides Deputy District Registrar services in the Supreme Court and Deputy Registrar duties in the Provincial Court as delegated by the District Registrar. The position also provides technical and administrative support, to the Judiciary, Registry staff and Court Clerks relating to civil and family court matters.

A Bilingual Deputy District Registrar is required to be fluent in speaking, writing, and reading French and English. There are two Bilingual Deputy District Registrar positions that provide services throughout the province.

**Job Requirements**:

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).
- 2 years recent experience working in a legal environment, or 1 year experience working in Court Administration.
- Experience using computers and software programs (e.g. Windows, MS Word, Excel).
- Must be able to qualify for signing authority as a Deputy District Registrar within 6 months of appointment to the position.
- Typing speed of 40 wpm
- Must be fluent in speaking, writing, and reading French and English

Combinations of relevant experience, education and/or training may result in an applicant meeting these requirements.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

- Signing authority as a Deputy District Registrar.
- 1 year of experience working in Court Administration.
- Experience working in Civil Programs.
- Experience working in Civil Electronic Information System (CEIS).

Proviso/Willingness Statement:

- Must be willing to complete relevant training programs.
- May be required to travel, including travel in adverse weather conditions and work in other geographical areas, including circuit court locations.
- Must have reliable transportation and/or be willing to travel with others.
- May be required to work flexible hours on short notice, including varied shifts.
- May be required to work overtime on short notice.
- May be required to work in other areas of Court Services Branch.
- Must pass enhanced security screening checks. Union membership is required.**About this Position**:
