**Junior Health Care Consultant Job Description**
$25.00/ hour
Full-Time (40 hours/ week)
Work from Home Location within the Greater Vancouver/ Sea-to-Sky Region and Various Work Sites Across Canada
Bridge Barn Consulting Inc. works primarily with First Nations communities in a variety of capacities including: Health Centre evaluations, strategic planning, community health planning, accreditation preparation, policy and procedure development, education and professional development, and project management.

The Junior Health Care Consultant is a developmental role. The Junior Health Care Consultant works as part of a team under the supervision of Bridge Barn Consulting Health Care Consultants (Level I, Level II, and Principal Consultant) who lead projects. The Junior Health Care Consultant will carry out aspects of projects independently as delegated by the project lead/ supervisor.
Job Duties:
- Provides on-site and remote support for clients across Canada.
- Supports and empowers client teams as they work towards identified goals and targets.
- Builds effective relationships with clients and the project team.
- Listens for and strives to understand First Nations cultural perspectives.
- Utilizes project management skills to organize and support projects.
- Utilizes change management approaches to support change and transition.
- Utilizes a continuous improvement approach to support organizational growth and learning.
- Utilizes coaching and motivational interviewing skills to support change and continuous improvement.
- Facilitates group and team sessions.
- Works with teams to develop, write and implement policies and procedures.
- Works with teams to develop job descriptions.
- Supports teams to develop annual work plans based on strategic priorities.
- Supports communities to meet national accreditation standards.
- Researches and gathers health information from various sources.
- Utilizes research skills to gather information about new and innovative practices and evidence-based practices.
- Works with clients to draw data from existing data sources.
- Gathers information through the use of focus groups, interviews and surveys.
- Reviews and summarizes complex documents.
- Tabulates and analyzes qualitative and quantitative data.
- Develops graphs, tables, charts, illustrations and infographics.
- Develops community-friendly versions of complex documents.
- Develops presentations and gives presentations on the findings/ outcomes of projects.
- Writes, edits and formats large complex documents.
- Collaborates with the development of proposals and project plans.
- Ensures documents are stored in a way to safeguard privacy and security.
- Other duties as required.

- Experience gathering information through focus groups, interviews and surveys.
- Experience gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
- Experience researching and gathering information from various sources.
- Experience working with accrediting bodies.
- Informed of the requirements of the privacy and security legislation for private business.
- Experience living and working in a rural community is an asset.
- Ability to effectively visually present data.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in healthcare.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the Health Sciences field.
- Must provide a Criminal Records with Vulnerable Sector check.
- Must have a drivers’ license.
- Must have a means of travel to various work sites.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
The primary work site is from home location within the Greater Vancouver/ Sea-to-Sky Area.
Travel to various locations across Canada is a requirement of this job.
Hours of work: 9:00am - 5:00pm
**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
