**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate applicant's creditworthiness, income, debt-to-income ratio, and collateral to determine risk and make underwriting decisions.
- Request additional documentation and clarification from applicants, loan officers, and third-party vendors as needed.
- Communicate underwriting decisions to loan officers, processors, and other internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter.
- Experience underwriting Conventional, High Ratio with different lenders (AAA, B and Private)
- Strong knowledge of underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to make underwriting decisions based on sound judgment and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
