**About**:
The position will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's transformation and diversification efforts by focusing on evaluating industrial and commercial equipment across various sectors. As an Industrial and Commercial Equipment Evaluator, you will be instrumental in assessing market values, estimating repair costs, analyzing potential resale markets, and determining optimal residual values. Additionally, you will be involved in remarketing off-lease assets and developing value-added services such as auctions and appraisals, which will not only enhance our asset management capabilities but also generate new sources of revenue for the company.

**Responsabilities**:

- Manage residual risk and develop comprehensive residual value matrices for various equipment models, supporting fair market value (FMV) contract origination and risk management across a diverse portfolio of equipment assets, such as transportation, industrial, construction, aircraft, marine, technology, medical, clean energy, electric and fuel cell trucks, charging stations and more.
- Collaborate closely with Credit, Portfolio Management, and Sales Teams to provide structured advice and support on residual values, utilizing appraisals, asset descriptions, valuation curves, secondary market data, and industry insights.
- Innovate and implement value-added equipment services, including auctions and appraisals, leveraging the company's unique access to equipment through strategic partnerships with vendors, OEMs, and end users, and tailoring remarketing programs for both retail and wholesale channels, so that we realize the highest residual valuations.
- Conduct, coordinate, and oversee on-site equipment inspections and collaborate with the Asset Management and Inventory team to estimate repair costs as part of the asset evaluation process.
- Provide concise desktop appraisals to facilitate negotiations concerning settlements of insurance claims.
- Represent the company at industry trade conferences to foster valuable relationships across diverse asset sectors and curate a database of preferred contacts.
- Standardize and optimize practices for managing expiring lease residuals, ensuring timely execution and maximizing residual realization, including coordinating maintenance, repairs, and return logistics as required.
- Identify and implement industry best practices to enhance all aspects of asset management and assist in maintaining and refining departmental policy and procedure manuals, while undertaking any additional tasks pertinent to the position's scope and evolution.

**The profile we are looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration; or equivalent combination of education
- and related experience
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in equipment finance, asset management, asset appraisal and valuation
- Knowledge of the Industrial and Commercial industries
- Experience and understanding of lease lifecycle management, including lease origination, administration, and end-of-term practices
- Professional Appraisal Designation such as ASA, AAA, CPPA, É.A. or C. App certification
- Proficiency in English; French language proficiency is an asset
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to express findings in a logical and organized manner
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong in MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word
