Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Media Relations: write press releases, statements, FAQs, act as spokesperson in case of media requests, coordinate and plan press events/conferences, partner with internal teams to bring our stories to life.
- Social Media Management: produce content for different social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
- Website Management: produce content for our company's website, develop relationships with key internal players to brainstorm content ideas, visuals etc.
- Marketing Support: liaison with internal stakeholders to build marketing plans and content for marketing campaigns and collateral.

- _ Executive Committee_
- _ Internal departments, such as Environmental & Public Affairs, Sales, Finance, Operational Managers and Teams etc._

**Specific Accountabilities**:

- In this role, you will have the opportunity to do more than developing day-to-day assets, you will be able to be part of the strategy and planning behind creating compelling communications for Lafarge Canada. Although based on a framework, there will be room for innovation and creativity.

**Dimensions**:

- _ The person will be evaluated on their ability to put together creative and compelling storytelling assets, time management, organization, discipline, ability to work independently and in a team setting._

Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree or College diploma in Communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in external communications/marketing
- Content writing experience for all media platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic and creative mind with an eye for aesthetics, creative and social trends, and brand personality
- Detailed oriented with excellent organization, project and time management
- Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline sensitive environment
- Portfolio of work available for review (you’ll be asked to share it)
- Proven social media expertise. Hootsuite experience and knowledge
- French language skills an asset
- Flexible work - part remote/part at the office in Mississauga
